Nash Mealmaker was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Eden Soekirno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eden Soekirno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Eden Soekirno managed to get in a good position for a shot. WESTERN SYDNEY ROOSTERS's supporters rose to their feet, but Eden Soekirno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nash Mealmaker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Marcus Lewry sped through WESTERN SYDNEY ROOSTERS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ellis Walkington. Ellis Walkington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Payton Pegler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Payton Pegler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Marcus Lewry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, WESTERN SYDNEY ROOSTERS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burns Tenser to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Byrock's goal looked a bit too open when Eden Soekirno came free, but Nash Mealmaker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Payton Pegler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Byrock were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, WESTERN SYDNEY ROOSTERS's Clarke Howard got a free kick in the 58th minute. Meyer Bunworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ellis Walkington having to interfere. Marcus Lewry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ellis Walkington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Byrock players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
