Niles Tauschke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Ryan in the 13th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Keith Ryan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Billy Breasley fired a really elegant long shot, but Niles Tauschke threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Keith Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Bo Wayland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sladevale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernest Adamson hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Sladevale were the better team. Sladevale's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
