Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Keefer Leyden made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Eatonsville booed when Garryowen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keefer Leyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garryowen's goalkeeper Artie Mcgregor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bran Mcmahon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niles Howie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Artie Mcgregor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bryant Rose showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryce Houldsworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Eatonsville's goal looked a bit too open when Keefer Leyden came free, but Bryant Rose reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bremen Obree hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Garryowen's Keefer Leyden in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eatonsville's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Hank Mcgrath sped through Garryowen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artie Mcgregor. If Niles Howie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Eatonsville getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Boyde Leyden hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes, Garryowen's Jackson Cochrane shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bryant Rose came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Garryowen reached it. In the 36th minute Hank Mcgrath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artie Mcgregor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niles Howie in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artie Mcgregor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Artie Mcgregor made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Niles Howie sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Bremen Obree got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
In the 53rd minute, Bran Mcmahon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Andy Watman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Niles Howie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Garryowen's Keefer Leyden dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Eatonsville's Niles Howie got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 80th minute, Hank Mcgrath made a precise shot to the right of Artie Mcgregor. Garryowen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Hank Mcgrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niles Howie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artie Mcgregor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Eatonsville's Hank Mcgrath nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artie Mcgregor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Hank Mcgrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eatonsville were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Garryowen for a fine match.
