Spectators: 7696 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) Cumborah's Arne Cridland started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the game, Kevin Chute landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Jackson Keato kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Englefield's Kris Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Cridland in the 12th minute of play. Earl Norton took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Sparks. Kris Sparks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Kris Sparks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Cridland in the 18th minute of the match. Albert Dale struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alexander Korff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Englefield. Nero Matthes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cumborah's zone, Albert Dale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Korff came out of the goal and Albert Dale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jackson Keato was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 28 played minutes Cumborah got a freekick which was hit by Jackson Keato. 29 minutes into the game, Englefield's Albert Dale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Korff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Battle Laing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Korff having to interfere. If Albert Dale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Englefield's Alexander Korff threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albert Dale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Cumborah's Oliver Howard got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Albert Dale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alexander Korff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Englefield's Kris Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nero Matthes in the 67th minute of play. Albert Dale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cumborah's Earl Norton got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cumborah getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Nero Matthes hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Albert Dale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Englefield's Albert Dale got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Cumborah's Nero Matthes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kris Sparks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alexander Korff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Dale in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Albert Dale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Englefield's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Dale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Korff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Albert Dale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Dale in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Korff saved Cumborah from getting behind. Olin Algoud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albert Dale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Korff having to interfere.
