Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmundson Stevenson kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Dakota Aylwin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harcourt's supporters rose to their feet, but Dakota Aylwin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irving Spinder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Harcourt's goalkeeper Brye Coburn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justin Grieve. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Brye Coburn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 12th minute, Clarke Gronow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Edmundson Stevenson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tawa Wolves's Irving Spinder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 27 in the game by Justin Grieve from a close distance when the talented Brye Coburn managed to make a qualified save. Harcourt's players were relieved. When Loyd Huff fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tawa Wolves's protests and gave Loyd Huff a yellow card for diving instead. Harcourt's Edmundson Stevenson got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Tawa Wolves defense, Edmundson Stevenson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irving Spinder. The Tawa Wolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irving Spinder should have stopped the shot. Loyd Huff kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Abbott Kennedy struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Brye Coburn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tawa Wolves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Grieve got free with Brye Coburn in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brye Coburn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Grieve in the 45th minute. A hard shot 48 in the game by Justin Grieve from a close distance when the talented Brye Coburn managed to make a qualified save. Harcourt's players were relieved. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abbott Kennedy was the one to do the kick off. If Abbott Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dakota Aylwin got free with Irving Spinder in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tawa Wolves's Irving Spinder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundson Stevenson in the 60th minute of play. Dakota Aylwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lowrey Mcgaw during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Tawa Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Lowrey Mcgaw. Dakota Aylwin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Irving Spinder made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, Tawa Wolves's Biddle Lawson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Abbott Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justin Grieve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Justin Grieve came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Tawa Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justin Grieve couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Lowrey Mcgaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edmundson Stevenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abbott Kennedy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brye Coburn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abbott Kennedy in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Harcourt's Lawrance Swan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute Edmundson Stevenson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Spinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Harcourt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
