Dugald Wege could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Kris Sparks made a huge save. Englefield's Kris Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burtt Muller in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the game Rolando Heberle made a throw-in which Edwardo Hodge played forward. In the 10th minute, Battle Laing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Englefield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Battle Watman in the 14th minute. Englefield's Battle Watman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elliot Rowden in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Battle Laing in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elliot Rowden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17thth minute of the game Battle Laing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Perthville's Elliot Rowden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elliot Rowden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albert Dale went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Irwin Foley fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perthville's protests and gave Irwin Foley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Irwin Foley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burtt Muller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Kris Sparks made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwardo Hodge in the 29th minute of play forced Englefield's goalkeeper Kris Sparks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Perthville's goal looked a bit too open when Battle Laing came free, but Elliot Rowden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Kris Sparks successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, Perthville's Kris Sparks threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edwardo Hodge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Englefield's Navarro Keayes got a free kick in the 37th minute. Kris Sparks made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Dugald Wege sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Albert Dale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliot Rowden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Englefield's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Burtt Muller scored to the left of an out of position Kris Sparks, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edwardo Hodge to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwardo Hodge in the 55th minute of play forced Englefield's goalkeeper Kris Sparks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elliot Rowden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Battle Laing in the 57th minute. Kris Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dugald Wege, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes in the game, Albert Dale fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Elliot Rowden having to interfere. A collision led to Perthville getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Burtt Muller hit a great ball. Battle Laing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliot Rowden having to interfere. If Battle Laing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Edwardo Hodge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Sparks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kris Sparks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irwin Foley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Battle Laing lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Elliot Rowden. After 89 played minutes Perthville got a freekick which was hit by Burtt Muller. The long shot by Battle Watman in the 90th minute really tested Elliot Rowden's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kris Sparks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dugald Wege in the 91st minute of the match. Kris Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwardo Hodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Dugald Wege had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kris Sparks. Englefield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dugald Wege was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
