Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abbott Kennedy got the match started through his kick off. Abbott Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corder Fasey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abbott Kennedy went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Irving Spinder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Mcgrath in the 11th minute of play. When Abbott Kennedy got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Corder Fasey was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Tawa Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Loyd Huff. When Bakara's Boris Mcgrath in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tawa Wolves's goalie prevented a goal. Corder Fasey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abbott Kennedy's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute Abbott Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Fasey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Payne Harding mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bakara and the Tawa Wolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tawa Wolves booed when Bakara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Payne Harding didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Bakara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Long Gwin to maneuver through the defense. Abbott Kennedy struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Corder Fasey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tawa Wolves. Justin Grieve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Fasey having to interfere. After the first half Tawa Wolves were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boris Mcgrath to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Boris Mcgrath mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bakara and the Tawa Wolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tawa Wolves's Irving Spinder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Mcgrath in the 54th minute of play. Justin Grieve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corder Fasey having to interfere. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Roger Grandison sped through Tawa Wolves's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Irving Spinder. When Lowrey Mcgaw fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tawa Wolves's protests and gave Lowrey Mcgaw a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Boris Mcgrath managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bakara's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Mcgrath was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irving Spinder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Abbott Kennedy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corder Fasey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Abbott Kennedy was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Tawa Wolves's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 78 minutes into the match, Abbott Kennedy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Corder Fasey, 1-3. Irving Spinder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Mcgrath in the 82nd minute of play. Corder Fasey made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Justin Grieve sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Bakara booed when Tawa Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Huff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irving Spinder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Grandison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tawa Wolves eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
