The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elliot Rowden, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dugald Wege fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brye Coburn having to interfere. Perthville's Edwardo Hodge got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kris Clack took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brye Coburn. Harcourt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dugald Wege in the 13th minute of play forced Harcourt's goalkeeper Brye Coburn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacosta Schulze took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brye Coburn. Harcourt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Dugald Wege had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Edwardo Hodge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brye Coburn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dugald Wege's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brye Coburn was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Carlisle Twite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brye Coburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwardo Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundson Stevenson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Perthville's Edwardo Hodge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Carlisle Twite took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elliot Rowden. Perthville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edmundson Stevenson scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elliot Rowden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edwardo Hodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Perthville's zone, Dakota Aylwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliot Rowden came out of the goal and Dakota Aylwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dakota Aylwin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elliot Rowden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Harcourt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarke Gronow to maneuver through the defense. Edmundson Stevenson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Harcourt's Edmundson Stevenson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elliot Rowden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Perthville's Dugald Wege ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brye Coburn. Brye Coburn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Dakota Aylwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Edmundson Stevenson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
