After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Clifford Shipman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waroula's supporters rose to their feet, but Clifford Shipman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carson Schultz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dacosta Burmeister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Carson Schultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Dacosta Burmeister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waroula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacosta Burmeister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dacosta Burmeister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duke Luckham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eden Stafford having to interfere. Robert Spurr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Clifford Shipman made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Yalpara's Carson Schultz got control of the ball when Dacosta Burmeister tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Clifford Shipman took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Carson Schultz to make any attempt to save it. Duke Luckham might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eden Stafford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duke Luckham ran back to his position shaking his head. After 76 played minutes, Yalpara's Meyer Delahide shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eden Stafford came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yalpara reached it. If Duke Luckham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waroula's Clifford Shipman got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronald Porteus's late challenge caught a Waroula's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronald Porteus helped the player get up and apologised. Ronald Porteus kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Carson Schultz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dacosta Burmeister in the 89th minute. Dacosta Burmeister in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carson Schultz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
