In the 14th match minute, Waroula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darley Mckay to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Waroula's Clifford Shipman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Vaughan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Allen Twite could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Eden Stafford however easily saved by the left post. After 22 played minutes Geelong FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartholemew Babbage. Clifford Shipman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Vaughan having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Waroula got a freekick which was hit by Jasmine Phasey. A hard shot by Norm Shipman from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Eden Stafford's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Clifford Shipman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Vaughan having to interfere. If Clifford Shipman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartholemew Babbage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clifford Shipman made a kick off. If Dacosta Burmeister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clifford Shipman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alfred Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burt Brotherton kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Waroula's Alfred Vaughan threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Clifford Shipman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Clifford Shipman came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Waroula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clifford Shipman couldn't finish the play. Dacosta Burmeister could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Alfred Vaughan made a huge save. Sabastian Moon kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Sabastian Moon charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabastian Moon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Geelong FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabastian Moon to maneuver through the defense. Waroula's Allen Lascelles couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Geelong FC. In the 85th minute Allen Twite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eden Stafford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dacosta Burmeister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Vaughan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clifford Shipman in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Vaughan saved Geelong FC from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Bruno Monck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Clarke Kanack was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geelong FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waroula the free kick. After 94 played minutes Geelong FC got a freekick which was hit by Clarke Kanack. 95 minutes into the match, Geelong FC's goalkeeper Alfred Vaughan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacosta Burmeister. Waroula were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Geelong FC to leave the ground with a draw.
