Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Conner Tebby made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, Wapengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Boyce to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Barney Simpson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wapengo's Crawford Galvin didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Wapengo's Duncan Mcinnis got a free kick in the 5th minute. Conner Tebby might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Crawford Galvin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conner Tebby ran back to his position shaking his head. Crawford Galvin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Hart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crawford Galvin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Hart's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jagger Reichelt during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conner Tebby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crawford Galvin having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Pingaring was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Dowsing to maneuver through the defense. Bill Triplett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute of the match, Bill Triplett got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bill Gannan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bill Gannan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Hoey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pingaring booed when Wapengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jagger Reichelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Wapengo's goal looked a bit too open when Conner Tebby came free, but Crawford Galvin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conner Tebby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bill Gannan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bill Triplett in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Neil Hoey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bill Gannan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Crawford Galvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Tebby in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Neil Hoey made the kick off in the second half. Bill Triplett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Gannan having to interfere. Bill Gannan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Hoey in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Wapengo's zone, Conner Tebby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crawford Galvin came out of the goal and Conner Tebby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bo Hart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Crawford Galvin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Bo Hart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Gannan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Triplett in the 86th minute of play. Carlton Dowsing's late challenge caught a Wapengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlton Dowsing helped the player get up and apologised. Carlton Dowsing kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Bill Triplett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pingaring supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pingaring would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
