Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bickford Gwin took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Pingaring's Bo Hart in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leigh's goalie prevented a goal. When Bickford Gwin came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Leigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bickford Gwin couldn't finish the play. In the 7th match minute, Pingaring was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darell Lovis to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Kelvin Coote left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leigh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bickford Gwin in the 15th minute of play forced Pingaring's goalkeeper Bill Gannan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conner Tebby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelius Pywell having to make a save. The supporters of Leigh booed when Pingaring was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Dowsing didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pingaring's Carlton Dowsing got a free kick in the 24th minute. A hard shot by Tommy Auger from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Bill Gannan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 30 minutes into the match, Pingaring's Conner Tebby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelius Pywell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match, Bickford Gwin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bill Gannan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leigh's Kelvin Coote got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Pingaring's goal looked a bit too open when Bickford Gwin came free, but Bill Gannan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pingaring's Bill Gannan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bickford Gwin in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Alvin Brotherton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelius Pywell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Conner Tebby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cornelius Pywell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bo Hart came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pingaring fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Hart couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conner Tebby to strike the kick off in the second half. Bo Hart's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cornelius Pywell firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Duke Rummens got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Bo Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelius Pywell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Tebby in the 58th minute of play. Kelvin Coote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leigh's Kelvin Coote got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornelius Pywell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conner Tebby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bill Gannan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelvin Coote in the 78th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Bo Hart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Aron Cridland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelvin Coote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Gannan having to interfere. Bickford Gwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
