Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pingaring's Conner Tebby started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Belton Palmington reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bill Gannan. The goal made the score 1-0. Barnabas Boston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conner Tebby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darryl Hinwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bill Gannan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belton Palmington did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Bill Gannan 21 minutes into the match. Darryl Hinwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Gannan having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Pingaring's goal looked a bit too open when Belton Palmington came free, but Bill Gannan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neale Berresford kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Belton Palmington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bill Gannan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bill Gannan made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Abe Nunn sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Barney Simpson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Hinwood got free with Bill Gannan in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Belton Palmington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Pingaring getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Neale Berresford hit a great ball. Bo Hart in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barnabas Boston, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Conner Tebby might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barnabas Boston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conner Tebby ran back to his position shaking his head. 60 minutes into the match, Pingaring's goal looked a bit too open when Belton Palmington came free, but Bill Gannan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Pingaring's Conner Tebby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barnabas Boston narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bill Gannan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Hinwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Darryl Hinwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wantirna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 72 minutes, Belton Palmington made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pingaring's Bill Gannan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Belton Palmington came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Wantirna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belton Palmington couldn't finish the play. Bo Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darell Lovis hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Belton Palmington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bill Gannan was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Wantirna's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
