Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brock Luckham started the match with the kick off. Carlisle Paddle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kris Giddey's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Malcolm Wivell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Luckham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brock Luckham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Kris Giddey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Paddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carsyn Beattie fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capella's protests and gave Carsyn Beattie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Capella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carsyn Beattie to maneuver through the defense. If Kris Giddey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lidcomb booed when Capella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carsyn Beattie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brad Brennand who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Carlisle Paddle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th match minute, Capella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carsyn Beattie to maneuver through the defense. Kris Giddey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlisle Paddle came out and tried to block the shot, but Kris Giddey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Rod Millar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rod Millar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malcolm Wivell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Millar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Dario Nobes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lidcomb's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capella the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lidcomb's Dario Nobes got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Carlisle Gillingwater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Capella's Paul Coburn got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A hard shot by Zackery Allen from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Carlisle Paddle's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Capella's Carlisle Paddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Giddey in the 44th minute of play. If Kris Giddey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kris Giddey to make the kick off. Rod Millar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Malcolm Wivell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kris Giddey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute of the match Zackery Allen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlisle Paddle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Brock Luckham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidcomb's Malcolm Wivell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Lidcomb's Everitt Behla got a free kick in the 67th minute. Brock Luckham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brad Brennand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlisle Paddle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Brennand in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Capella's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Giddey came free, but Carlisle Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Capella's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Brennand came free, but Carlisle Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Brock Luckham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Wivell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Kris Giddey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lidcomb's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Giddey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlisle Paddle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lidcomb's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
