Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kris Giddey got the match started through his kick off. Brad Brennand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kris Giddey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lidcomb's Malcolm Wivell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Lidcomb from getting a goal against them. If Jared Gannan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Kris Giddey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Wege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brad Brennand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Wege having to interfere. When Lidcomb's Kris Giddey in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carlton F.C's goalie prevented a goal. When Brayden Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Carlton F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brayden Bailey couldn't finish the play. Donovan Wege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Giddey in the 35th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ringo Mcvicar during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brad Brennand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donovan Wege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Giddey in the 38th minute of the match. When Brad Brennand came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Lidcomb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Brennand couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brayden Bailey to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Giddey in the 58th minute of play forced Carlton F.C's goalkeeper Donovan Wege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Cole Rizzardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlton F.C and the Lidcomb players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carlton F.C's Cole Rizzardo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Donovan Wege made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brad Brennand in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute Kris Giddey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Wege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cole Rizzardo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Kris Giddey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Donovan Wege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brayden Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Carlton F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brayden Bailey couldn't finish the play. Brad Brennand succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 86th playminute. Carlton F.C's Donovan Wege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Brennand in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Ringo Mcvicar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Malcolm Wivell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lidcomb's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
