Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eagleby's Remington Czaczka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Remington Czaczka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Arthur Grandison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Gregory Mcjenkins managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Melbourne Football Club's Irwin Schutt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Irwin Schutts short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Gregory Mcjenkins to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gregory Mcjenkins was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Irwin Schutt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Bishop Foley kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Remington Czaczka took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arthur Grandison. Arthur Grandison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 37th minute, Irwin Schutt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Irwin Schutt made a kick off. Gregory Mcjenkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irwin Schutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irwin Schutt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Mcjenkins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Connor Lewry during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Melbourne Football Club booed when Eagleby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Lewry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brooks Markou hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Eagleby's Roland Allen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arthur Grandison but with some difficulty. Bishop Foley kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Eagleby's Artie Norman got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Eagleby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remington Czaczka to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Irwin Schutt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregory Mcjenkins was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Melbourne Football Club fully deserved thier win.
