After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jones Dowsing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noorinbee's supporters rose to their feet, but Jones Dowsing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earnest Wirth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jones Dowsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Earnest Wirth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Bonnison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Jones Dowsing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Earnest Wirth. The goal made the score 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Bonnison made a kick off. Jones Dowsing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Earnest Wirth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Jones Dowsing struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Earnest Wirth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noorinbee. In the 58thth minute of the game David Bonnison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noorinbee's Irving Colman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cheviot's Earnest Wirth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Sanderson in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Noorinbee got a freekick which was hit by Lauder Duncan. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bonnison in the 66th minute of play forced Noorinbee's goalkeeper Irving Colman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Earnest Wirth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jones Dowsing, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Earnest Wirth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Sanderson in the 92nd minute of the match. If Jonathan Sanderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
