Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chuck Chamberlain got the match started through his kick off. Jagger Wharton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Benton having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Odonahoo during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Goondi getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Michael Odonahoo hit a great ball. Chuck Chamberlain succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The supporters of Goondi booed when Cheviot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barth Bohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Mcwilliam, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Chuck Chamberlain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Earnest Wirth having to make a save. Randolph Mcvicar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Earnest Wirth made a huge save. Earnest Wirth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parker Mudie in the 37th minute of play. If Randolph Mcvicar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Parker Mudie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jagger Wharton struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Billy Benton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheviot. Chuck Chamberlain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earnest Wirth having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Bonnison was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cheviot's David Bonnison dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The supporters of Goondi booed when Cheviot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barth Bohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th match minute, Goondi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randolph Mcvicar to maneuver through the defense. Billy Benton made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jagger Wharton sent off a good shot on target. If Chuck Chamberlain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parker Mudie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Earnest Wirth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chuck Chamberlain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earnest Wirth having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bonnison in the 80th minute of play forced Goondi's goalkeeper Billy Benton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jagger Wharton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Billy Benton made a huge save. Goondi's Randolph Mcvicar got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Goondi's zone, David Bonnison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Benton came out of the goal and David Bonnison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Randolph Mcvicar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earnest Wirth having to interfere.
