Earnest Wirth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61stth minute of the game David Bonnison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brombin's James Jeffress was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lawrance Dearn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earnest Wirth having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Norman Egel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cheviot's Steve Gavin got a free kick in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Brice Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brombin's supporters rose to their feet, but Brice Locke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earnest Wirth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76thth minute of the game Lawrance Dearn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheviot's Earnest Wirth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lawrance Dearn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brombin's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrance Dearn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earnest Wirth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baxter Duncan charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baxter Duncan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th match minute, Cheviot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baxter Duncan to maneuver through the defense. Brombin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
