Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Payne Fynn started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Woodridge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bruno Toomey was slow to take the kick. During this time Gunyah's players had a chance to rest. Bruno Toomey made a great header on Gunyah's corner, it was just that Woodridge's Ren Maddern managed to reach the ball for a save. Payne Quinane's late challenge caught a Gunyah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Payne Quinane helped the player get up and apologised. Payne Quinane kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Edward Sparrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ren Maddern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Sparrow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ringo Surman in the 22nd minute of play forced Woodridge's goalkeeper Ren Maddern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Woodridge getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Payne Quinane hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Woodridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Minter to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Bruno Toomey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunyah's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Toomey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ren Maddern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the game, Gunyah's Ringo Surman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ren Maddern made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Phenix Rosenboom might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Navarro Didlock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phenix Rosenboom ran back to his position shaking his head. Edward Sparrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ringo Surman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ren Maddern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Sparrow in the 63rd minute of the match. Payne Fynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 played minutes Gunyah got a freekick which was hit by Ringo Surman. The long shot by Logan Mcgaw in the 78th minute really tested Ren Maddern's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 81 minutes of play, Woodridge's Payne Fynn made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Navarro Didlock was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 90 minutes of play, Woodridge's Phenix Rosenboom made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
