An unexpectedly hard shot by Brice Cowdell in the 35th minute of play forced Savoy's goalkeeper Brooker Haeberle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Mooliabeenie got a freekick which was hit by Rod Pinhey. Brynn Knevett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jackson Claringbold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Neale Connell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brooker Haeberle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrell Porter in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Savoy reached it. Brynn Knevett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jackson Claringbold having to interfere. The Mooliabeenie supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mooliabeenie would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
