Brown Playford hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Juradine defense, Jenkins Bailey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Serena. The Juradine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Serena should have stopped the shot. Jenkins Bailey took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Serena. Patrick Serena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Burt Copelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Juradine booed when Currie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Deal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Burt Copelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 minutes of play, Currie's Jenkins Bailey made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Burt Copelin to make the kick off. In the 67th minute, Lawrence Schutt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jason Giles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After 70 played minutes Juradine got a freekick which was hit by Brook Paynter. Patrick Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burt Copelin in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Lawrence Schutt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jason Giles. Currie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lawrence Schutt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 77th match minute, Juradine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artie Dale to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Burt Copelin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Serena was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Lawrence Schutt struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jason Giles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juradine. If Jonty Christini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Lawrence Schutt notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Currie's Jason Giles. Jason Giles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd match minute, Currie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Pearse to maneuver through the defense. Jonty Christini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Currie supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Currie would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
