Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Corbett Hollingworth took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Coomunga's Dale Auger got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Mark Osbiston sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loyd Brophy skillfully saved the ball. Mundalla's Edwardo Phillips got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ivan Whelpton came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Mundalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Whelpton couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Coomunga's goal looked a bit too open when Edwardo Phillips came free, but Loyd Brophy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justin Hoey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mack Heath made a huge save. Edwardo Phillips received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Loyd Brophy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loyd Brophy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwardo Phillips, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Justin Hoey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mack Heath made a huge save. Edwardo Phillips's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loyd Brophy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Coomunga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corbett Hollingworth to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Edwardo Phillips shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loyd Brophy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwardo Phillips received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Loyd Brophy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Fletcher Norton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loyd Brophy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwardo Phillips in the 46th minute of the match. Ivan Whelpton struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Loyd Brophy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mundalla. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Edwardo Phillips made the kick off in the second half. Loyd Brophy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irwin Schulze went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 60 minutes into the game, Brookes Devine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundalla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coomunga the free kick. In the 60th minute, Brookes Devine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corbett Hollingworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwardo Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loyd Brophy having to interfere. Loyd Brophy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwardo Phillips, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mundalla's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
