After 17 played minutes, Panmure's Barnard Lyle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Battle Glover came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panmure reached it. In the 20th minute Matthias Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Parryman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Panmure's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Wilson came free, but Long Parryman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Long Parryman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthias Wilson went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Long Parryman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Long Parryman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brockman Atkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. adelaide fc walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
