Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wongabel's Edgar Maciver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michael Mcgirr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Edgar Maciver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wongabel's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Maciver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiger Pickhills breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 10 minutes, Remy Adair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoyleton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy Adair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Maciver in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiger Pickhills saved Hoyleton from getting behind. Tiger Pickhills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Maciver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Mcgirr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tiger Pickhills made a huge save. The long shot by Porter Deeth in the 27th minute really tested Tiger Pickhills's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Michael Mcgirr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiger Pickhills made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Michael Mcgirr sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hoyleton's goalkeeper Tiger Pickhills, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Maciver in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiger Pickhills saved Hoyleton from getting behind. Phil Beverley struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Tiger Pickhills didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wongabel.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barry Kirkham was the one to do the kick off. Jayden Aliendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Kirkham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remy Adair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jayden Aliendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hoyleton defense, Michael Mcgirr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiger Pickhills. The Hoyleton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiger Pickhills should have stopped the shot. Tiger Pickhills stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Maciver's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Carter Laing put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Wongabel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hoyleton:s goal. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Hoyleton. Christopher Fallen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jayden Aliendi. 2-1. Tiger Pickhills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Mcgirr in the 90th minute of play. If Michael Mcgirr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Hinwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hoyleton getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Edmund Loch hit a great ball. Wongabel's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
