The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Myles Isaac kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Humphrey Chamberlain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hal Gwin. Beanbri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kevin Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hal Gwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, Springcliff's Kevin Brien made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hal Gwin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Beanbri booed when Springcliff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffray Wal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Beanbri's Zackery Hauschildt in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Springcliff's goalie prevented a goal. Zackery Hauschildt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Curtis Mcinnis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hal Gwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hal Gwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curtis Mcinnis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Zackery Hauschildt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curtis Mcinnis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hal Gwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Brien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Myles Isaac charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Myles Isaac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Beanbri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myles Isaac to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Springcliff's zone, Jeffers Mcinnis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murphy Gorham came out of the goal and Jeffers Mcinnis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Murphy Gorham successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 48 minutes into the match, Beanbri's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Brien came free, but Hal Gwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Springcliff were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Jeffers Mcinnis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murphy Gorham having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffers Mcinnis in the 54th minute of play forced Springcliff's goalkeeper Murphy Gorham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Springcliff's goalkeeper Murphy Gorham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kevin Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hal Gwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kevin Brien came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Springcliff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Brien couldn't finish the play. Myles Isaac hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Kevin Brien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Springcliff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Brien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Beanbri booed when Springcliff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Brien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Hal Gwin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jessop Paddle kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Curtis Mcinnis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes, Ren Kirkham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beanbri and the Springcliff players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Beanbri got a freekick which was hit by Ren Kirkham. Keefer Sylvester's late challenge caught a Beanbri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keefer Sylvester helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Springcliff getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Keefer Sylvester hit a great ball. Jessop Paddle missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 81 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Murphy Gorham right hand side. Springcliff's Murphy Gorham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffers Mcinnis in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Springcliff's Kevin Brien sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hal Gwin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94thth minute of the game Zackery Hauschildt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springcliff's Murphy Gorham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Beanbri supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Springcliff's performance. The match ended with a win for Springcliff.
