Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luke Alwege got the match started through his kick off. Pete Shirdon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hale Stanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Ben Andrews who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caffey's Fabrizio Hayward was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Caffey's Fabrizio Hayward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Andrews in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Luke Alwege left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kanighan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dugald Maciver in the 32nd minute of play forced Kanighan's goalkeeper Hale Stanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Caffey's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Andrews came free, but Fabrizio Hayward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Ben Andrews had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabrizio Hayward. Caffey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ben Andrews was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Pete Shirdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dugald Maciver was the one to do the kick off. Fabrizio Hayward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Alwege in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute Dugald Maciver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hale Stanton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Caffey booed when Kanighan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrews Kanack didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 minutes, Ben Andrews made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Caffey's Fabrizio Hayward tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Andrews Kanack hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Clark Wilson, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luke Alwege fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Hayward having to interfere. If Dugald Maciver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Andrews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fabrizio Hayward made a huge save. In the 81stth minute of the game Luke Alwege who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caffey's Fabrizio Hayward was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Dugald Maciver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caffey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dugald Maciver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ben Andrews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Hayward having to interfere. In the 89th minute Luke Alwege shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Hayward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tony Locke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Caffey:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kanighan:s goal. Kanighan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
