Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bennett Venz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Karuah's Edmonds Bundy got a free kick in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Karuah's zone, Curtis Mcinnis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brookes Bundy came out of the goal and Curtis Mcinnis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kevin Brien came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Springcliff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Brien couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Edmonds Bundy suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Nilson Franklin fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Springcliff's protests and gave Nilson Franklin a yellow card for diving instead. Karuah made a substitution. Burt Huff replaced Edmonds Bundy. In the 11th match minute, Springcliff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Franklin to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Brien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Springcliff's Nilson Franklin got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bennett Venz in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murphy Gorham saved Springcliff from getting behind. 20 minutes into the game, Bill Tarrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Springcliff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karuah the free kick. After a rather tough play, Springcliff's Bill Tarrant got a free kick in the 20th minute. Springcliff's Bill Tarrant got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Bill Tarrant off the ground. The supporters of Karuah booed when Springcliff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Tarrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Pete Kinsey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murphy Gorham skillfully saved the ball. Humphrey Chamberlain kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Pete Kinsey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murphy Gorham. Springcliff's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Kevin Brien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Springcliff's goal looked a bit too open when Bennett Venz came free, but Murphy Gorham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dan Tearle came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Karuah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Tearle couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 54 played minutes Karuah got a freekick which was hit by Dan Reiter. Bennett Venz took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murphy Gorham. Murphy Gorham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Tearle in the 68th minute of play forced Springcliff's goalkeeper Murphy Gorham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Karuah's Murphy Gorham threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dan Tearle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rick Maybury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bennett Venz scored 0-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murphy Gorham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Springcliff's Murphy Gorham got control of the ball when Bennett Venz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dan Tearle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murphy Gorham having to make a save. Bennett Venz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Murphy Gorham when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Springcliff fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karuah were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
