With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carsyn Johnson in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Biggs Legg saved Wallace from getting behind. Northam's Nathan Kile suffered a concussion in the 13th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsyn Johnson in the 21st minute of play forced Wallace's goalkeeper Biggs Legg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wallace's Biggs Legg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carsyn Johnson in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Jessop Fraser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Wallace booed when Northam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Mcinnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Freeman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartholemew Lonergan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsyn Johnson in the 30th minute of play forced Wallace's goalkeeper Biggs Legg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carsyn Johnson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Barnett Walkington fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northam's protests and gave Barnett Walkington a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Barnett Walkington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biggs Legg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsyn Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Tom Mcinnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wallace's Biggs Legg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute Carsyn Johnson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biggs Legg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carsyn Johnson to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Wallace got a freekick which was hit by Neal Luckham. Biggs Legg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carsyn Johnson went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Carsyn Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biggs Legg having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Marco Lewry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northam and the Wallace players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Crawford Tauschke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartholemew Lonergan was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The supporters of Wallace booed when Northam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Lewry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Coleman hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Berke Waterland struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Bartholemew Lonergan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wallace. Tom Mcinnes's late challenge caught a Wallace's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tom Mcinnes helped the player get up and apologised. Northam's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
