But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Natt couldn't finish the play. Mark Pywell kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ Natt in the 22nd minute of play forced Northmead's goalkeeper Abraham Plummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Northmead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norm Carberry to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russ Natt, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Russ Natt made a precise shot to the right of Abraham Plummer. Northmead's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Northmead's Abraham Plummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Natt in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Russ Natt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bushfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Russ Natt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abraham Plummer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Bushfield's Samuel Pywell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abraham Plummer. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. Abraham Plummer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. After having played for 67 minutes, Samuel Pywell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bushfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Pywell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Pywell got free with Abraham Plummer in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mark Pywell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Northmead booed when Bushfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drake Ramsay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joseph Breasley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Wege, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Abraham Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russ Natt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Hank Lenard charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bushfield had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
