Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norm Carberry got the match started through his kick off. Olin Paull came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Northmead's Burt Cochrane. But to his dismay, Burt Cochrane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute, Brad Domenichetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abraham Plummer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Norm Carberry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rick Pfingst during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Northmead booed when Yorklea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rick Pfingst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Northmead's Porter Legg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Yorklea. 24 minutes into the match, Northmead's goalkeeper Abraham Plummer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brad Domenichetti. When Northmead's Burt Cochrane in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yorklea's goalie prevented a goal. After 28 minutes Yorklea's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Porter Legg who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Porter Legg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yorklea's Olin Paull did a great save. The supporters of Northmead booed when Yorklea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kane Pinkerton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clay Askew to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yorklea's goalkeeper Olin Paull, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Burt Cochrane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norm Carberry in the 60th minute of play forced Yorklea's goalkeeper Olin Paull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norm Carberry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Olin Paull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Brad Domenichetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yorklea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brad Domenichetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Yorklea's Clay Askew made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abraham Plummer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Burt Cochrane who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Olin Paull when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Yorklea's Kevin Natt got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the game, Brannan Mcneven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northmead's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yorklea the free kick. The supporters of Yorklea booed when Northmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brannan Mcneven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clay Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Plummer having to interfere. Burt Cochrane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yorklea were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Northmead for a fine match.
