Phenix Boylin's late challenge caught a Vineyard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phenix Boylin helped the player get up and apologised. Phenix Boylin kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Chuck Munster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humphry Collins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Rosenboom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humphry Collins having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Herman Beckwith mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vineyard and the Coleraine players grew even worse after the yellow card. Humphry Collins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuck Munster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Hale Lovis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vineyard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hale Lovis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24thth minute of the game Kyle Rosenboom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vineyard's Humphry Collins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes of play Vineyard's Herman Beckwith was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 26 played minutes Vineyard got a freekick which was hit by Herman Beckwith. After a rather tough play, Coleraine's Payton Royans got a free kick in the 29th minute. Humphry Collins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Rosenboom's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Carleton Christian fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coleraine's protests and gave Carleton Christian a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Coleraine got a freekick which was hit by Carleton Christian. In the 39th minute, Bryden Powell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Vineyard's goal looked a bit too open when Chuck Munster came free, but Humphry Collins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hale Lovis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jenkins Fasey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hale Lovis got free with Anthony Kirkham in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hale Lovis made a kick off. Humphry Collins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Rosenboom's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Hale Lovis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coleraine's Anthony Kirkham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chuck Munster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humphry Collins having to interfere. Kyle Rosenboom struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Humphry Collins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coleraine. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Rowdon during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robert Rowdon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Hale Lovis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chuck Munster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hale Lovis came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Vineyard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hale Lovis couldn't finish the play. After 80 minutes of play Coleraine's Robert Rowdon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Carleton Christian kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes, Vineyard's Billy Bonnison shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anthony Kirkham came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vineyard reached it. In the 87th minute, Kyle Rosenboom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Coleraine's zone, Hale Lovis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Kirkham came out of the goal and Hale Lovis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
