Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rod Laws started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jack Munday did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Albert Rutledge 4 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, one of Armadale:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Armadale. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Weithew. Jacobs Laws stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pete Alcock. 1-1. Barth Paynter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Alcock having to interfere. Pete Alcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Laws, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Weithew fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! When Eddy Carragher came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Armadale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddy Carragher couldn't finish the play. If Barth Paynter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Eddy Carragher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Deal during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Weithew got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Deal. Armadale's Eddy Carragher got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rod Laws fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Alcock having to interfere. Pete Alcock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Laws in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Rod Laws shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Alcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jones Worsley was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Eddy Carragher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Rutledge. Weithew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddy Carragher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The supporters of Armadale booed when Weithew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barth Paynter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Eddy Carragher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Rutledge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Armadale's Jones Worsley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Rutledge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Weithew's Barth Paynter got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Rod Laws shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Alcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Carragher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Rutledge having to interfere. Weithew's Albert Rutledge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Carragher in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Armadale's goalkeeper Pete Alcock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Eddy Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Jones Worsley notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Weithew's Albert Rutledge. Albert Rutledge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Jacobs Laws sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Armadale's Pete Alcock didn't even have to move. Barth Paynter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Alcock having to interfere. Weithew's Albert Rutledge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jones Worsley in the 88th minute of play. Albert Rutledge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jones Worsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Armadale's Jones Worsley in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Weithew's goalie prevented a goal. If Eddy Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Weithew's Lucas Deal got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute Jones Worsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Rutledge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Armadale had won after a very even match.
