Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Randolph Rowden made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th match minute, Armadale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evan Aliendi to maneuver through the defense. Charles Quinn's late challenge caught a Yanderra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Quinn helped the player get up and apologised. Randolph Rowden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pete Alcock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. If Jones Worsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Yanderra's zone, Eddy Carragher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bent Hands came out of the goal and Eddy Carragher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jones Worsley in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bent Hands saved Yanderra from getting behind. In the 21st match minute, Armadale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Munday to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Armadale booed when Yanderra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Maybury didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Deeth, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Adolfo Krause fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Alcock having to interfere. When Armadale's Eddy Carragher, in the 31st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Armadale. In the 32nd match minute, Yanderra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Shirdon to maneuver through the defense. Jones Worsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bent Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jones Worsley, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jones Worsley hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Evan Aliendi fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Armadale's protests and gave Evan Aliendi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Evan Aliendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Eddy Carragher got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 59 minutes into the match, Armadale's goal looked a bit too open when Randolph Rowden came free, but Pete Alcock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bent Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jones Worsley in the 63rd minute of the match. Bent Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddy Carragher in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jones Worsley in the 69th minute of play forced Yanderra's goalkeeper Bent Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evan Aliendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jones Worsley took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Bent Hands to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 74 minutes, Jones Worsley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armadale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jones Worsley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Eddy Carragher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bent Hands was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Randolph Rowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Alcock having to interfere. When Eddy Carragher came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Armadale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddy Carragher couldn't finish the play. Armadale's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
