Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Preston Haeberle kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Zackery Kuskop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yulgilbar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wyena the free kick. 4 minutes into the match, Wyena's Kale Holdsworth broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Grant Trevena came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Wyena's Jacob Paddle. But to his dismay, Jacob Paddle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Yulgilbar's goal looked a bit too open when Connor Caddick came free, but Grant Trevena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Yulgilbar's zone, Connor Caddick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grant Trevena came out of the goal and Connor Caddick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Connor Caddick struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Grant Trevena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wyena. Jeffray Haskell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Preston Haeberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iggi Whittington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sabastian Giddey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Paddle to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Wyena's zone, Preston Haeberle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabastian Giddey came out of the goal and Preston Haeberle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sabastian Giddey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Preston Haeberle's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Jeffray Haskell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabastian Giddey having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wyena's zone, Jeffray Haskell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabastian Giddey came out of the goal and Jeffray Haskell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Preston Haeberle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wyena's Sabastian Giddey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brice Holdsworth's late challenge caught a Wyena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brice Holdsworth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Brice Holdsworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grant Trevena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allen Alchin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Preston Haeberle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabastian Giddey. Wyena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Preston Haeberle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Preston Haeberle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabastian Giddey was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Connor Caddick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Trevena having to interfere. Grant Trevena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Paddle, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Preston Haeberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Wyena's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffray Haskell came free, but Sabastian Giddey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Yulgilbar's Jeffray Haskell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sabastian Giddey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 92nd minute Preston Haeberle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabastian Giddey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeffray Haskell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yulgilbar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
