The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Bishop Tucknott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Berke Kean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Block, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Berke Kean came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Higginsville's Bishop Tucknott. But to his dismay, Bishop Tucknott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Western Spirit FC's Berke Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Block in the 16th minute of play. Remy Block fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berke Kean having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Remy Block put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Berke Kean. Remy Block struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Berke Kean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Higginsville. In the 26th minute, Bishop Tucknott ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berke Kean was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Bishop Tucknott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berke Kean having to interfere. In the 31st minute Rob Cochrane suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 32 played minutes Western Spirit FC got a freekick which was hit by Larkins Bonham. Ernest Sobczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berke Kean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Bishop Tucknott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bishop Tucknott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Berke Kean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bishop Tucknott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Downing Freeman was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Western Spirit FC's goalkeeper Berke Kean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Western Spirit FC's Berke Kean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Western Spirit FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Western Spirit FC's zone, Bishop Tucknott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berke Kean came out of the goal and Bishop Tucknott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Western Spirit FC's goalkeeper Berke Kean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bishop Tucknott. Bishop Tucknott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berke Kean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bishop Tucknott in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bishop Tucknott got free with Berke Kean in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berke Kean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When Bishop Tucknott came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Higginsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bishop Tucknott couldn't finish the play.
