Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jared Kuskop got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Barry Lonergan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Sperling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Chelsea's Samuel Hoey seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Hoey the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chelsea protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Hoey had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Rhodes. Bryden Stafford stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kelvin Flesfader. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rhodes's zone, Everitt Owens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Art Sperling came out of the goal and Everitt Owens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jared Kuskop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelvin Flesfader having to interfere. Kelvin Flesfader didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthony Carbery went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 34thth minute of the game Jared Kuskop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Kelvin Flesfader was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea's zone, Jared Kuskop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kelvin Flesfader came out of the goal and Jared Kuskop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everitt Owens got free with Art Sperling in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Rhodes's zone, Everitt Owens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Art Sperling came out of the goal and Everitt Owens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chelsea's Everitt Owens got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everitt Owens to strike the kick off in the second half. Lawrance Boserio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Chelsea's Kelvin Flesfader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jared Kuskop in the 56th minute of play. Chelsea's Eden Quinane got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anthony Carbery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Flesfader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jared Kuskop in the 65th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Everitt Owens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Everitt Owens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Art Sperling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kelvin Flesfader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jared Kuskop in the 68th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Chelsea's Everitt Owens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Art Sperling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Eden Quinane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jared Kuskop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kelvin Flesfader read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Everitt Owens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Everitt Owens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Art Sperling was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Anthony Carbery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Kelvin Flesfader tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Rhodes were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Chelsea side.
