Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barry Lonergan started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Forestville's Jarrod Colman got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Barry Lonergan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Muddle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everitt Owens's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Forestville's goalkeeper Mark Muddle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Dwight Atterton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kelvin Flesfader was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kelvin Flesfader took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dwight Atterton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrew Haeberle during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everitt Owens in the 32nd minute of play forced Forestville's goalkeeper Mark Muddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Muddle came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Chelsea's Barry Lonergan. But to his dismay, Barry Lonergan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Everitt Owens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Muddle having to interfere. After some careless play in the Forestville defense, Everitt Owens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Muddle. The Forestville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Muddle should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dwight Atterton was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Forestville's Mark Muddle got control of the ball when Barry Lonergan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chelsea's Everitt Owens got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anthony Bailey kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Forestville got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Bailey. After some careless play in the Forestville defense, Everitt Owens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Muddle. The Forestville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Muddle should have stopped the shot. When Rolando Williams fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Rolando Williams a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Williams. After a defensive mix-up in Forestville's zone, Everitt Owens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Muddle came out of the goal and Everitt Owens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everitt Owens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mark Muddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Barry Lonergan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Muddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Everitt Owens came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everitt Owens couldn't finish the play. When Samuel Weeks fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forestville's protests and gave Samuel Weeks a yellow card for diving instead. Samuel Weeks hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Eden Quinane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Mark Muddle made a huge save. Chelsea's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
