After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Paul Wharton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bordo Mavi fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Wharton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Groves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Payton Gorham managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Millgrove's Peter Mackney fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rod Groves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Battle Markcrow's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Tiger Knaack could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Payton Gorham made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Millgrove's goal looked a bit too open when Battle Markcrow came free, but Rod Groves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Wharton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Rod Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Paul Wharton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rod Groves was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 45th minute of the match Bordo Mavi fc got a corner. Millgrove's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oliver Lyle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bordo Mavi fc's Oliver Lyle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rod Groves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiger Knaack stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul Wharton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Groves having to interfere. When Bordo Mavi fc's Battle Markcrow in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The nice shot from Paul Wharton in the 74thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Rod Groves had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meyer Galvin during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Millgrove got a freekick which was hit by Meyer Galvin. Battle Markcrow was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Paul Wharton took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rod Groves. Rod Groves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The Bordo Mavi fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
