Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Long Breasley made the kick off which started today's match. Jared Mueller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olliver Laing in the 8th minute of play. Jared Mueller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Long Breasley in the 9th minute of the match. Olliver Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jared Mueller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Yalpara's goalkeeper Brandon Wadley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barnett Obrien. If Olliver Laing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnett Obrien struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Brandon Wadley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moorang. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Olliver Laing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yalpara's supporters rose to their feet, but Olliver Laing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jared Mueller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 played minutes Moorang got a freekick which was hit by Nick Mcwilliam. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Moorang's goalkeeper Jared Mueller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norman Todman hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Olliver Laing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jared Mueller having to interfere. When Long Breasley came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Yalpara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Long Breasley couldn't finish the play. Olliver Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jared Mueller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jared Mueller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olliver Laing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Long Breasley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Mueller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bradley Bailey to make the kick off. When Jason Block fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yalpara's protests and gave Jason Block a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Jason Block hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Moorang's goalkeeper Jared Mueller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olliver Laing. Jared Mueller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olliver Laing in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute Bradley Bailey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Wadley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Moorang's Norman Todman got a free kick in the 74th minute. Olliver Laing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. With a little luck, Moorang's Jared Mueller got control of the ball when Olliver Laing tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Moorang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Todman to maneuver through the defense. After 94 minutes, Bernie Brady mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yalpara and the Moorang players grew even worse after the yellow card.
