Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Neal Cusbert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Cregan Howard made a huge save. Linden's Edmonds Kepert got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cregan Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmonds Kepert in the 10th minute of the match. Stephan Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nilson Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reese Fieldhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmonds Kepert might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cregan Howard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmonds Kepert ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 27 minutes, Neal Cusbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neal Cusbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neal Cusbert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Cregan Howard made a huge save. Neal Cusbert's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Cregan Howard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 32 played minutes Goe Still Park got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Gray. The supporters of Goe Still Park booed when Linden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neal Cusbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Goe Still Park's Reese Fieldhouse got a free kick in the 35th minute. Neal Cusbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute of the match Milton Nobes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cregan Howard skillfully saved the ball. When Linden's Edmonds Kepert in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goe Still Park's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Linden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmonds Kepert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Goe Still Park defense, Neal Cusbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cregan Howard. The Goe Still Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cregan Howard should have stopped the shot.
