Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Jesse Weller elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 6 played minutes Paraparap got a freekick which was hit by Matthews Grieve. Bill Mckay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Porter Hollingworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Munroe Rennie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Porter Hollingworth came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cardwell's Bryan Hicks. But to his dismay, Bryan Hicks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Paraparap's Porter Hollingworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Mckay in the 15th minute of play. Jasmine Quinnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Munroe Rennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Porter Hollingworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Mckay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Bill Mckay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porter Hollingworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryan Hicks might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Porter Hollingworth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryan Hicks ran back to his position shaking his head. When Bill Mckay got free in front of the goal in the 33rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Porter Hollingworth was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Porter Hollingworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Hicks in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bill Mckay in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Porter Hollingworth saved Paraparap from getting behind. Porter Hollingworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Mckay, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th match minute, Paraparap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Alves to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Jasmine Quinnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andy Heathwood took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Porter Hollingworth. Paraparap's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Bryan Hicks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardwell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryan Hicks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Bill Mckay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porter Hollingworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesse Weller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathan Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bill Mckay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Porter Hollingworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paraparap's zone, Bill Mckay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porter Hollingworth came out of the goal and Bill Mckay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Bill Mckay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Porter Hollingworth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraparap's goalkeeper Porter Hollingworth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Paraparap's Jesse Weller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Munroe Rennie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paraparap's Porter Hollingworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Mckay in the 79th minute of play. Porter Hollingworth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bill Mckay went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Bill Mckay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Porter Hollingworth was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Bryan Hicks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Porter Hollingworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cardwell fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Cardwell's Berne Woods looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Cardwell left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paraparap.
