Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Broderick Newton kicked off to start the match. Tony Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ringo Rhoades having to interfere. Tony Brennan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ringo Rhoades read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Tony Brennan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Churchill's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 12th minute, Drake Glover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ace Norton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Broderick Newton in the 17th minute of the match. Jackson Andrusiow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Broderick Newton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ace Norton having to make a save. In the 22nd minute Broderick Newton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ace Norton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fletcher Hopkins hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Earnest Renney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Wamberal booed when Churchill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drake Glover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pete Solomon, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 31st minute Tony Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ringo Rhoades saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ringo Rhoades made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Brennan in the 40th minute of play. Tony Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ringo Rhoades tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ace Norton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jackson Andrusiow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tony Brennan made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Churchill's Ace Norton got control of the ball when Jackson Andrusiow tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ace Norton made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Jackson Andrusiow sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Drake Glover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jackson Andrusiow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Broderick Newton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ace Norton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Churchill's Ace Norton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Churchill from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Wamberal's goal looked a bit too open when Fletcher Hopkins came free, but Ringo Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reese Hoey hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Wamberal's Broderick Newton in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Churchill's goalie prevented a goal. If Broderick Newton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Broderick Newton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ace Norton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ace Norton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arneil Stageman, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Churchill's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
