Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Blenheim's Luck Conlin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rod Trevena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brynn Staggard having to make a save. After some careless play in the Flinders defense, Luck Conlin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brynn Staggard. The Flinders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brynn Staggard should have stopped the shot. Luck Conlin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Brynn Staggard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blenheim. In the 13th minute, Luck Conlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brynn Staggard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 17 minutes, Casper Gledden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blenheim and the Flinders players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregory Schultz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davey Haslem in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Blenheim's Casper Gledden got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Brynn Staggard came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Blenheim's Luck Conlin. But to his dismay, Luck Conlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 42 minutes, Jamese Orourke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flinders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamese Orourke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jamese Orourke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gregory Schultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Davey Haslem in the 51st minute of play forced Blenheim's goalkeeper Gregory Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Blenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Davey Haslem came free, but Gregory Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Brynn Staggard managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Blenheim's Rod Trevena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rod Trevena hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Blenheim's Gregory Schultz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davey Haslem in the 59th minute of play. When Davey Haslem fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flinders's protests and gave Davey Haslem a yellow card for diving instead. Luck Conlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynn Staggard having to interfere. Gregory Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamese Orourke in the 68th minute of play. Rudy Maunsell kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Davey Haslem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregory Schultz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davey Haslem in the 82nd minute of the match. Davey Haslem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jamese Orourke struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Gregory Schultz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flinders. Gregory Schultz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davey Haslem's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Gregory Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamese Orourke in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Edmundson Goodwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Flinders booed when Blenheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luck Conlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although Flinders had been in control for most of the match, Blenheim still came away with the win.
