The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Kongolia's Brennan Petersen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 22nd minute, Edmund Sewell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kongolia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Edmundson Brooks scored to the left of an out of position Kevin Roach, making the score, 1-0. In the 29th minute of the match Man Stoj FC got a corner. Kongolia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bern Sinden ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jesse Cookesley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Castray in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Byrne Laws shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse Cookesley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Kongolia's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundson Brooks came free, but Kevin Roach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kongolia's zone, Edmund Sewell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Roach came out of the goal and Edmund Sewell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundson Brooks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kevin Roach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jesse Cookesley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byrne Laws, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Sewell in the 54th minute of play forced Kongolia's goalkeeper Kevin Roach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bill Coldicutt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Kongolia's Kevin Roach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Sewell in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Sewell in the 85th minute of play forced Kongolia's goalkeeper Kevin Roach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corey Castray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
