A collision led to Wide Bay Revolution getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Benedict Blagburn hit a great ball. A collision led to Monteagle getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Reese Waller hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Berne Locke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendan Atkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berny Sparrow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Voller in the 15th minute of play forced Wide Bay Revolution's goalkeeper Case Franklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Nichol Cordrey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Case Franklin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nichol Cordrey might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Case Franklin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nichol Cordrey ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the game, Connor Will was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wide Bay Revolution's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monteagle the free kick. A collision led to Wide Bay Revolution getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Connor Will hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Monteagle got a freekick which was hit by Russell Heath. After a defensive mix-up in Monteagle's zone, Milton Isaac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendan Atkin came out of the goal and Milton Isaac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes of play, Monteagle's Aaron Voller made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Case Franklin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Wide Bay Revolution's goal looked a bit too open when Nichol Cordrey came free, but Case Franklin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wide Bay Revolution's Benedict Blagburn got a free kick in the 37th minute. Case Franklin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Voller went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 46 minutes, Reese Waller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteagle and the Wide Bay Revolution players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Reese Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Wide Bay Revolution's Preston See tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Wide Bay Revolution players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monteagle were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Berny Sparrow made the kick off in the second half. Anthony Bridson might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Case Franklin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Bridson ran back to his position shaking his head. Case Franklin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichol Cordrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Case Franklin made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Aaron Voller sent off a good shot on target. After 66 played minutes Wide Bay Revolution got a freekick which was hit by Benedict Blagburn. Nichol Cordrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Case Franklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Nash Mealmaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bart Clack hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Eavan Byrnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteagle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eavan Byrnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Monteagle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reese Waller to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nichol Cordrey in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Case Franklin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Reese Waller was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. Monteagle's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
