Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nero Ambrose kicked off to start the match. Antony Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Mcvey having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Hart in the 17th minute of play forced Carani's goalkeeper Andrews Mcvey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antony Hart struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gold Stars. After a defensive mix-up in Carani's zone, Antony Hart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrews Mcvey came out of the goal and Antony Hart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brock Conlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Sennett having to interfere. Andrews Mcvey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nero Ambrose in the 26th minute of play. Benny Sennett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brock Conlan in the 27th minute. Cullen Rummens hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Carl Sylvester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benny Sennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Ramsay in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Max Leyden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Gold Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Ramsay came free, but Benny Sennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Gold Stars got a freekick which was hit by Kane Arkinstall. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Peter Ramsay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Benny Sennett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brock Conlan's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Rudolph Dearn fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gold Stars's protests and gave Rudolph Dearn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carani booed when Gold Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolph Dearn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brock Conlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Peter Ramsay made a precise shot to the right of Benny Sennett. Gold Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Benny Sennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Ramsay in the 66th minute of play. Antony Hart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Andrews Mcvey made a huge save. Antony Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Mcvey having to interfere. Peter Ramsay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Benny Sennett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benny Sennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Ramsay, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Brock Conlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Carani's Tiger Sugden got a free kick in the 85th minute. Antony Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Lowrey Fortington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carani's supporters rose to their feet, but Lowrey Fortington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Sennett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brock Conlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carani were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gold Stars for a fine match.
