Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fanning's Bent Belford started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brendan Jobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. Max Sedgman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Jobson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Brendan Jobson had several of the Fanning's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Max Sedgman as he didn't even see the shot coming. Brendan Jobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Max Sedgman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Sedgman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cregan Mudie went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the game, Edwards Boserio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fanning's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brooklet the free kick. In the 25th minute, Edwards Boserio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Brooklet booed when Fanning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berne Mogork didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes Fanning's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Darin Tongs who took care of the corner kick. 31 minutes into the match, Fanning's goal looked a bit too open when Blade Conlin came free, but Max Sedgman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cregan Mudie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Brendan Jobson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Sedgman was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Max Sedgman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Darin Tongs. Brendan Jobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. Bent Belford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Weeks having to interfere. The supporters of Fanning booed when Brooklet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blade Conlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cregan Mudie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Max Sedgman made a huge save. Cregan Mudie struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Max Sedgman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brooklet. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brendan Jobson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Cregan Mudie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brooklet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cregan Mudie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Weeks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bent Belford in the 57th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Fanning's goal looked a bit too open when Cregan Mudie came free, but Max Sedgman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Max Sedgman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendan Jobson in the 66th minute of play. Cregan Mudie scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Max Sedgman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Brendan Jobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Max Sedgman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cregan Mudie, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Fanning's Case Porter got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brooklet's Paul Weeks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Brooklet from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brooklet fully deserved thier win.
