The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Greenan was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Birkalla's Brayden Cusbert got a free kick in the 51st minute. The Lads United's Mark Greenan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boris Berresford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Greenan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Dean Fynn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birkalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Fynn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brockman Freel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boris Berresford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chuck Reilly in the 95th minute of play. The long shot by Brandes Clubley in the 97th minute really tested Brockman Freel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
