Brockman Beins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Boris Berresford made a huge save. Boris Berresford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Cuddihy in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Byron Frew ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boris Berresford was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alan Cuddihy had several of the Birkalla's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Boris Berresford as he didn't even see the shot coming. Byron Frew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Berresford having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Cuddihy made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Alan Cuddihy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boris Berresford was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Jarrett Aylwin hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Alan Cuddihy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Berresford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dean Fynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Byron Frew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Cuddihy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
